In this lab you will learn how to install, configure and use Monasca OpenStack Monitoring and Logging Service. Every attendee will deploy and configure the complete Monasca environment. With the set of hands-on assignments you will learn how to list and query metrics, define and list alarms, configure notifications using the Monasca CLI or Python Client.
We will also show you how to optimize the operations of your monitoring system by using alarm grouping, inhibition and silencing.

This lab session will cover the following topics:

Installation and configuration of Monasca
Checking and troubleshooting your installation
Using the Monasca CLI and/or Python Client
Alarm grouping, inhibition and silencing

No prior knowledge of Monasca is required. It is a practical session with
live code examples, so please bring your laptops.
